This release fixes a number of issues found since the release of Jurassic v2.

New features:

Added non-standard RegExp properties ($1-$9, input, lastMatch, lastParen, leftContext and rightContext).

Conformance:

ES5 conformance suite - after patch by Jeff Walden goes from 45 to 13 (the fixes are to the test suite, not to Jurassic).

Bug fixes:

Fixed bug that prevented function declarations from working in strict mode eval statements.
Fixed problem with Object.defineProperty when the value is not defined (thanks to FremyCompany for reporting this).
Fixed problem with addition operator when adding a string to an object (thanks to FremyCompany for reporting this).
Fixed incorrect "this" value in getters when prototype chain exists (thanks to FremyCompany for reporting this).
Fixed BadImageFormatException when compiling complex functions in .NET 3.5 (thanks to kouphax for reporting this).
Fixed code generation bug when an assignment is the right-hand side operand of a short circuiting operator which is inside a for loop.

This is the final release of Jurassic version 2. See the codeplex documentation tab for sample code and instructions on how to use it.

This release adds Silverlight support and has much improved performance (see Benchmarks).

New features:

Silverlight support.
.NET 4 is no longer required (.NET 3.5 is required instead).
Added function String.prototype.quote (a Mozilla extension).
The FirebugConsole class has a new extensibility model.

Performance:

Sunspider goes from 74.6 seconds to 12.8 seconds.

Conformance:

A couple of Sputnik failures fixed - goes from 63 to 61.
Many ES 5 conformance suite failures fixed - goes from 89 to 45.

Breaking changes:

FirebugConsole.Output property was modified.
FirebugConsole.CurrentIndentation property was removed.
FirebugConsole.IndentationDelta property was removed.
UserDefinedFunction.Body is now called UserDefinedFunction.BodyText.

The REPL (read-eval-print-loop) test program is for those who want to test Jurassic without writing any code. It is a simple console program that executes any arbitrary JavaScript code you enter.

Both downloads require .NET 4.

This is the second beta release of Jurassic. It is believed that it will run the majority of scripts out there, but there may still be bugs lurking. Please report any issues you find in the codeplex issue tracker. See the codeplex documentation tab for sample code.

Changes since beta 1:

Almost 100 bugs fixed.
There is a new property on the ScriptEngine called CompatibilityMode - this allows some ECMAScript 5 behaviours to be reverted to the ECMAScript 3 behaviour.

Known issues:

There are still issues around the implementation of ES5 strict mode.
Number formatting and parsing need work. This is probably the biggest source of Sputnik failures.
Stack traces and error handling in general needs more work.
toString() on user-defined functions does not return the source code for the function.
